Elkin Family donates a Seaco Espresso Machine

$350 in value.

www.illy.com

This is a terrific machine that uses a patented nickel plated brass pressurized portfilter to ensure a great espresso extraction. It works by pressurizing the brewing chamber through a small spring-loaded valve located below the filter basket. The valve remains closed until enough pressure builds to open it and release the espresso. The high pressure results in an optimal extraction of the coffee flavor and aroma, making a delicious espresso with a thick golden crema. Cappuccino and latte drinkers will love the Magic Cappuccino Plus’s Cappuccinatore, an automatic milk-frothing device that draws milk directly from a milk container, froths it and dispenses it into your cup.

Illy Coffee donates a Francis X7 Espresso Machine.

$395 in value

www.illy.com

Enjoy unparalleled Italian espresso and cappuccino with iperEspresso, a revolutionary new way to prepare true barista-quality espresso at home with ease and simplicity.

Designed to work exclusively with illy iperEspresso capsules, the striking Francis Francis X7 makes extraordinary espresso with one-touch convenience. Unlike conventional one-stage systems, the iperEspresso method uses an innovative, patented two-stage process to create intensely aromatic, full-bodied espresso with rich, velvety crema that lasts and lasts. And because extraction takes place entirely inside the capsule, the coffee and machine never come in contact making for easy clean up. Designed by renowned Italian architect Luca Trazzi, this striking machine adds a strong visual statement to any kitchen.

Roger Johnson Studio donates a beautiful still life print.

$220 in value

Roger Johnson Studio

I came to Fine Arts late in life, and looking back I can see that everything I found interesting ultimately led me to painting. From the time I was 10, I was working at crafts, building and designing toys, models, even a boat! A year later I built two guitars, one of which won 1st prize at the Ohio State Fair.

After completing my degree at Ohio State University, I opened the Columbus Folk Music Center. There, I continued both building and restoring stringed instruments. I was particularly involved in building Mountain Dulcimers and banjos. I learned to carve delicate inlay for these instruments which increased my interest in design and art. During that time, I became known as a musician and singer as well as a maker.
